What is West Somerset Together?
West Somerset Together is a gathering for individuals and community groups run by West Somerset Green Forum. We aim to share ideas and generate actions that will combat the climate and ecological emergencies and wider social injustice issues. All members of the community, young and old, are welcome at our West Somerset Together meetings. Please feel free to bring your ideas for discussion and get help with your own projects, initiatives, and actions!

It can be challenging getting new initiatives or ways of doing things off the ground. West Somerset Together is a forum of likeminded people who will encourage you with your projects and activities if the going gets tough. A place to share solutions, skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm!
West Somerset Together Connects People
We aim to be a hub that helps groups to stay connected with each other and enables coordination of projects/activities.
West Somerset Together gives people the power to make things happen
Together we can put public pressure on our local authorities and better engage with them to influence strategies, services and priorities.
How gatherings are run
It can be challenging getting new initiatives or ways of doing things off the ground. West Somerset Together is a forum of likeminded people who will encourage you with your projects and activities if the going gets tough. A place to share solutions, skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm!
We want everyone to feel able to contribute to our gatherings and feel listened to.
Each meeting usually takes place in a different town or village. Recent meetings have been held in Timberscombe, Carhampton and Williton. If you’d like to host a meeting in your town or village on a topic of your choosing, please get in touch.
There will be an agreed format to the gathering - this will flow from the ideas and activities that people bring with them.
All opinions and views to be welcomed and respected.
Facilitators will ensure all are encouraged to contribute
Experts and representatives from local authorities and other bodies - will be actively invited to attend to support activities and/or listen to views.
